Kang Shin-wook, an honorary professor at Dankook University who is running as a candidate for the 42nd president of the Korean Sports Council, said yesterday (8th) that he has filed an application for an injunction to suspend the election to the  안전놀이터 Seoul Eastern District Court to ensure fairness in the election.

The election for the president of the Korea Sports Council will be held at Olympic Park in Songpa-gu, Seoul on the 14th, and procedural issues were raised in the process of guessing 2,244 electors.

Candidate Kang said, "We were also able to confirm the illegality of a number of electors' lottery procedures," adding, "We applied for a provisional injunction because voting conditions were set so that the election of the electors could not be held under equal conditions."

"We have confirmed the situation that those who cannot or should not participate in the vote, such as the dead, non-athletes, and enlisted athletes, are included in the electorate," he said.

Earlier, 11 delegates, including Lee Ho-jin, president of the Korea Ice Hockey Association, who were included in the electors of the president of the Korea Sports Council, also filed a provisional injunction requesting the court to suspend the election of the president of the sports council.
